Planning a closet overhaul – Part 2.2

Read Part 1 and Part 2 here!

So, I have been incredibly busy these past few weeks preparing my students for exams and preparing for my parent’s visit (they arrive tomorrow!). I haven’t had time to actually sort through my closet yet, but I thought I’d give you a quick update on where I am:

I’m starting to develop color palette ideas and study the things I like. I’m using a blank piece of paper to put down some ideas in my binder, using a basic template from Into Mind (three main colors, two neutrals, and four accent colors).

I’ve also started to think about what the most important pieces to buy are – which things I want to buy first. While I haven’t gone through my closet and done a true re-set yet, these are the things that will allow me to start updating my look sooner rather than later. I’m also trying to follow all the advice I’ve read – be detailed on your shopping list! Not just “jeans” but rather “dark wash straight leg jeans with a mid-rise, tailored fit…”. I’m getting there. I’ve also noted down some ideas for stores where I might find these items.

It’ll be a couple weeks before I actually get around to my closet sorting…expect Part 3 sometime in June!

Happy warm weather!

Organizedly yours,

L.
